MERCHANTS / 02Listing guidelines

Earn trust on the wire.

Sonar listings are designed for agents that need evidence before they pay. These guidelines keep the index useful and the checks safe.

01 / ELIGIBILITY

Offer a real x402 service

Your submitted URL must be HTTPS, stable, and gated by a valid x402 payment challenge. Services that collect credentials, trigger side effects, or require unsafe requests are not eligible for unattended probing.

02 / DESCRIPTION

Make the capability clear

Use a descriptive name and explain the input, output, price, supported network, and important limits. Good metadata helps relevant searches find you.

03 / VERIFICATION

Pass the initial check

After submission, Sonar checks that the endpoint responds, exposes a parseable payment requirement, and remains safe to probe. Passing creates a Sonar verified badge; it does not guarantee business continuity or settlement.

04 / MAINTENANCE

Keep the contract stable

Listed services receive a dedicated probe schedule. Repeated failures, malformed challenges, unexpected price changes, or unsafe behavior can remove the badge or pause the listing.
